SRNA Buddy (“the app”) is operated by Nurse Dojo LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We built SRNA Buddy to be private by default: it contains no advertising and no third-party tracking.
Important — do not enter patient information
SRNA Buddy is a personal, educational logging tool. It is not a medical record system and is not intended to store protected health information (PHI). Do not enter patient names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, or any other information that could identify a specific patient. Record your cases and reflections in a de-identified way. You are responsible for complying with HIPAA and your program’s and clinical sites’ policies.
We only collect information needed to run the app for you. This includes:
Information you enter as you use the app, such as your case log entries, saved and custom anesthetic plans, airway and regional-block entries, confidence ratings, private reflections, requirement targets, your planned “tomorrow’s lineup,” and any private notes. This content is stored under your account and, unless you share it through a cohort (below), is visible only to you.
If you create or join a cohort, certain information is shared with the other approved members of that cohort so the group can collaborate. This includes your display name, initials, and optional photo, plus any provider (“People”) notes, clinical-site notes, and tips you add to the shared cohort space. Cohort administrators can see the email address of people who request to join, in order to approve or decline them, and can remove content within the cohort.
To keep you signed in, the app stores a secure session on your device. The app does not use analytics tools, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
We use a small number of service providers to operate the app. They process information only to provide their service to us:
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on managed cloud infrastructure that encrypts data at rest. Access is restricted by row-level security rules so that you can see only your own records and the cohort records you are entitled to. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, or ask us to delete it, we remove your account information and the content stored under your account. Please note that content you contributed to a shared cohort may remain visible to that cohort unless you remove it, or you can ask us to remove it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Residents of California (under the CCPA) and the EEA/UK (under the GDPR) may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, and may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
SRNA Buddy is intended for adult nurse anesthesia students and other adult healthcare professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Our services are operated in the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information will be processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
